How to genetically alter a rodent...

15.10.08

A couple of weeks ago I had a conversation with a girl at a party. Her job is to alter the DNA of mice in order to cure diceases. That completely blew my mind. That sounded SO exiting, but she excused for her boring job and went out to dance.
As I later called up one of my genetic science-friends (Yes, I have one of those) who aught to know about stuff like this, the only response I got was: "You cant do it on your own - Forget it!"
I could probably google my way into a correct answer, but instead I have chosen to guess. This is my full report on mice and DNA. I did it while waiting for a renderer at work today. It probably wont get the Nobel price. Neither in science nor litterature. But it was better than just waiting...

I took my flight...

20.9.08

I just scribbled an invitation cover for my 10 year reunion with my old College Class... Translated the text goes: Now it's been 10 years since I took my flight from Hobro Gymnasium. The Mink is an ongoing joke from back then. We used to construct Rebusses (Is that REALLY rebus in pluriel?) and the only rule was that it had to contain a mink... Click picture for better quality

Wilder Hund...

9.9.08

A couple of years ago I made a fold-up poem with my then girlfriend (current ex). The Idea was to write 2 lines on a piece of paper, fold it up, reveal the rythm and the last word of each line. Then the next in line would make two new lines that match rhythm & rhyme - and so on and so forth...

As it was done I made it into a little piece of dusty rock.

One late sunday afternoon I bought a bunch of old Photo lenses on Mauerpark Markt in Berlin. And one evening, secure back in Copenhagen, I was playing around with taping them onto the lens of my old crappy Hi8-camcorder, it gave some amazing closeups of things.

The beautiful EvA AdorE was singing along to the "Wilder Hund" poem, and I decided to record the moment for the future...

From the sketchbook...

As we left Bulgaria somebody broke into my suitcase and went through my stuff. They only snatched 3 packs of cigarettes... I still feel violated...
